Pete Stauber announces federal funding and highlights community engagement across Minnesota’s eighth district

Pete Stauber, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 8th district since 2019, announced a series of initiatives and community engagements in posts made on November 14, 2025.

In a post published at 17:48 UTC, Stauber stated, "I am proud to announce $1.37M in federal funding has been secured for Harris’s Municipal Water System Improvement & Water Main Looping project! This investment will upgrade aging infrastructure and ensure a reliable water system in MN-08."

Later that day at 19:23 UTC, he shared an update about efforts to support local youth literacy: "A member of my staff was able to deliver books to Northwood Children's Services in Duluth! Through the Library of Congress Surplus Books program, I'm proud that we're stocking shelves for kids throughout the district. When kids read, they succeed!"

At 23:46 UTC, Stauber highlighted his visit to a local business: "I visited Biwabik Pizza Co. today to highlight the outstanding contributions of veteran-owned small businesses like this one. With Veterans Day still fresh in our minds, let's rally behind our heroes by shopping local and fueling these community engines!"

Stauber has represented Minnesota's 8th District since replacing Rick Nolan in Congress in 2019. Before his congressional service, he served on the St. Louis County Commission from 2013 to 2019. Born in Duluth in 1966 and currently residing in Hermantown, Stauber graduated from Lake Superior State University with a BA in 1990.
