Pete Stauber, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 8th district since 2019, shared several posts on social media in November 2025 highlighting local commemorations and tributes to service members.

On November 10, Stauber attended an event honoring the crew of the Edmund Fitzgerald. He posted, "I was honored to join the Minnesota Historical Society’s 50th anniversary beacon lighting at Split Rock Lighthouse, honoring the Edmund Fitzgerald’s 29 lost crew. Their sacrifice on Lake Superior is not forgotten."

The following day, Stauber recognized Veterans Day with a tribute to military personnel. In his post dated November 11, he wrote, "On this Veterans Day, we honor the brave souls who’ve defended our freedoms, from the Greatest Generation to today’s warriors. Grateful for my wife Jodi’s service in Iraq and every vet in MN-08. Your sacrifice secures our way of life."

On November 12, Stauber shared his appreciation for natural phenomena observed in his district: "I’m getting lots of great photos of the northern lights from friends all over the district. Very cool colors!"

Stauber has represented Minnesota's 8th District in Congress since succeeding Rick Nolan in 2019 and previously served on the St. Louis County Commission from 2013 to 2019. Born in Duluth in 1966 and currently residing in Hermantown, Stauber is a graduate of Lake Superior State University.
