Pete Stauber, currently serving as the U.S. Representative for Minnesota’s 8th district, recently shared a series of posts on social media highlighting his priorities and activities in the state. Stauber, who has represented the district since 2019 after succeeding Rick Nolan, focused on promoting factual discourse, economic development, and engagement with constituents across Minnesota.
On July 10, 2025, Stauber addressed the importance of focusing on accurate information to strengthen Minnesota. He stated, "Let’s cut through the lies and focus on facts to build a stronger Minnesota! "
The following day, July 11, 2025, Stauber reflected on his participation at a local event aimed at economic growth. He wrote, "I was honored to speak at Better In Our Backyard's 3rd Annual Vista Event on Lake Superior last night. Great to join friends from all over the district to discuss our shared commitment to growing jobs and economic opportunity in Minnesota."
On July 12, 2025, Stauber provided an update about his recent activities across several communities within his district. He noted in a post: "From Bemidji to Hoyt Lakes, it’s been a productive week! Check out highlights from this week in the latest recap video!"
Stauber was born in Duluth in 1966 and resides in Hermantown. Before joining Congress in 2019, he served on the St. Louis County Commission from 2013 to 2019. He is an alumnus of Lake Superior State University.
