Pete Stauber, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 8th district since 2019, recently highlighted key policy developments and local innovation in a series of posts on social media.

On September 4, 2025, Stauber referenced former President Trump’s energy policies, stating, "President Trump promised that he would unleash American energy dominance and lower prices for families at the pump. Promises made, promises kept!"

Later the same day, Stauber addressed changes affecting service industry workers. He posted on September 4, 2025: "For those in the service industry, tips are a big part of their paycheck. Fortunately, the Working Families Tax Cut eliminates taxes on tips for waiters, bartenders, and other service workers. Meet all the workers who are keeping more of their tips: https://t.co/D4bbruVmlZ"

On September 5, 2025, Stauber shared his engagement with local technology companies in Duluth: "Met with the leaders of https://t.co/2Pwe6dUaw4 and https://t.co/WesEmfUwQF to learn more about cutting edge research being done right here in Duluth! These innovative companies are helping to secure the homeland through the advancement of AI technology. I’m excited to support https://t.co/Ew7fjjl4B1"

Stauber has represented Minnesota's 8th District in Congress since succeeding Rick Nolan in 2019. Before his congressional tenure, he served on the St. Louis County Commission from 2013 to 2019. Born in Duluth in 1966 and currently residing in Hermantown, Stauber holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lake Superior State University.
