Pete Stauber, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 8th district since 2019, shared a series of posts on social media between August 19 and August 20, 2025, highlighting issues ranging from agricultural policy to local business support and regional culture.

On August 19, Stauber addressed concerns about farmland use and national security. In his post, he stated: "Protecting America’s agricultural sector is vital for our strategic national security and a strong economy. No longer will we incentivize farmers to sacrifice prime farmland for unreliable solar farms with Chinese-made solar panels. Thank you to @SecRollins and the Trump" (August 19, 2025).

Later that day, Stauber acknowledged the work of a local business organization in northern Minnesota. He wrote: "It was great to speak at the Northland Small Business Development Center’s milestones celebration today. I'm grateful that the Northland SBDC offers resources to help start and grow businesses here in the northland!" (August 19, 2025).

On August 20, Stauber posted about a recreational moment tied to local tradition: "Was sent a nice photo of a bass caught on the Mississippi. Our way of life! " (August 20, 2025).

Stauber has represented Minnesota's 8th District in Congress since succeeding Rick Nolan in 2019. Before his congressional tenure, he served on the St. Louis County Commission from 2013 to 2019. Born in Duluth in 1966 and currently residing in Hermantown, Stauber holds a BA from Lake Superior State University.
