Pete Stauber, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 8th district since 2019, shared a series of posts on his social media account in mid-August 2025, highlighting community stories and local events.

On August 16, Stauber posted about meeting two sisters living with a rare disease: "Sara and Jana are twin sisters who were both born with cystinosis, a rare disease that they live with to this day. It was an honor to hear their stories and I'm proud to advocate for folks like Sara and Jana! https://t.co/lhKY89c6Gi"

Later the same day, he reflected on recent activities: "It was a fun week full of events! Check out the highlights! https://t.co/X0u1scnLI7" (August 16).

On August 17, Stauber expressed gratitude to a retiring law enforcement officer: "Thank you, Sergeant Mike Ledoux, for over 30 years of dedicated service with the Minnesota State Patrol! We are grateful for your commitment to keeping the Northland safe. Enjoy your well-earned retirement! https://t.co/az8ccv27iu"

Stauber has represented Minnesota’s 8th District in Congress since succeeding Rick Nolan in 2019. Before his tenure in Congress, he served on the St. Louis County Commission from 2013 to 2019. Born in Duluth in 1966 and currently residing in Hermantown, Stauber holds a BA from Lake Superior State University.
