Pete Stauber, U.S. Representative for Minnesota’s 8th district and Duluth native, shared a series of posts on August 15, 2025, highlighting visits to several community institutions in Duluth.
On August 15, Stauber wrote about returning to his former high school: "Visited my alma mater, Denfeld High School in Duluth, to talk with 9th graders about my experience serving as their Representative in the U.S. Congress. I loved answering their questions and sharing insights with one another!".
Later that day, he commented on the work being done at a local advocacy center: "Great to visit the First Witness Child Advocacy Center in Duluth. Their vital work provides hope and healing for kids in tough situations. We're grateful for their work!".
In another post from August 15, Stauber noted his impressions after visiting a workforce development organization: "Had a great time visiting True North Goodwill in Duluth. Impressed by their operation and the workforce training opportunities they provide."
Stauber has represented Minnesota's 8th district since replacing Rick Nolan in 2019 and previously served on the St. Louis County Commission from 2013 to 2019. Born in Duluth in 1966, Stauber currently resides in Hermantown and is an alumnus of Lake Superior State University.
