U.S. Congressman Pete Stauber, who represents Minnesota’s 8th district, shared updates on his recent engagements in the Brainerd lakes area through a series of social media posts on August 12, 2025.
Stauber posted about meeting with local officials and touring businesses in the region. On August 12, he wrote, "Enjoyed lunch with Crosslake Mayor Jackson Purfeerst, where we discussed local priorities and collaboration between federal and city governments." The same day, he also highlighted a visit to a manufacturing facility: "Toured Javron Aviation Manufacturing to see firsthand their innovative work in aviation manufacturing."
Additionally, Stauber described his experience at a local waste management company: "Toured Waste Partners Inc. and learned about their extensive operations in the Brainerd lakes area. Proud to support the Brainerd area's growth and innovation!"
Stauber has served as U.S. Representative for Minnesota’s 8th District since 2019 after replacing Rick Nolan. Before joining Congress, he was a member of the St. Louis County Commission from 2013 to 2019. Born in Duluth in 1966, Stauber resides in Hermantown and holds a bachelor’s degree from Lake Superior State University.
