Pete Stauber visits community projects and discusses regional growth on August 12

Pete Stauber, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 8th district since 2019, highlighted local community projects and regional development in a series of tweets posted on August 12, 2025.

In his first tweet, Stauber shared his experience visiting Edgewood Assisted Living in Hermantown. He wrote, "I had the privilege of seeing construction of a model of the U.S.S. Edgewood being built by the talented seniors at Edgewood Assisted Living in Hermantown. I can’t wait to return and see the finished masterpiece!" (August 12, 2025).

Later that day, Stauber reported on discussions regarding infrastructure at a local airport: "Visited Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport to discuss infrastructure and economic growth for the region." (August 12, 2025).

He also summarized his activities in the area with another post: "Had a busy day in the Brainerd area yesterday! Here are some highlights:" (August 12, 2025).

Stauber has served as a member of Congress for Minnesota's 8th District since replacing Rick Nolan in 2019. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he was part of the St. Louis County Commission from 2013 to 2019. Born in Duluth in 1966 and currently residing in Hermantown, Stauber graduated from Lake Superior State University with a bachelor's degree in 1990.
