U.S. Congressman Pete Stauber, who represents Minnesota’s 8th district, recently posted a series of updates on his official X account highlighting legislative and local developments relevant to his constituents.

On August 7, 2025, Stauber expressed support for recent news benefiting law enforcement in Minnesota. He wrote, "This is great news for Minnesota law enforcement and all law-abiding citizens! https://t.co/FvcDYefCap".

The following day, Stauber addressed concerns about new Medicaid legislation. On August 8, he posted, "Don’t listen to the fearmongering from the left about the One Big Beautiful Bill. The truth is, this legislation strengthens Medicaid for the very people it was intended to help such as single mothers, children, seniors, or the disabled. Read more from me and my Minnesota GOP".

On August 9, Stauber discussed infrastructure improvements at Duluth International Airport after meeting with Secretary Duffy. In his tweet he stated: "It was great to welcome @SecDuffy to the Duluth International Airport! We had the opportunity to highlight the critical need for a new air traffic control tower, a project that will enhance safety and strengthen the competitiveness of our airport for years to come."

Stauber has served in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Rick Nolan and previously held office on the St. Louis County Commission from 2013 to 2019. Born in Duluth in 1966 and currently residing in Hermantown, Stauber graduated from Lake Superior State University with a BA in 1990.
