Pete Stauber, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 8th district since 2019, recently posted a series of updates on his discussions with agricultural organizations in Minnesota.
On August 6, 2025, Stauber shared that he had spoken with the Minnesota Turkey Growers Association about avian flu response efforts. He wrote, "@MNFarmBureau Spoke with the Minnesota Turkey Growers Association about how we can better fight back against the avian flu."
In another post on the same day, Stauber reported meeting with cattle industry representatives. He stated, "@MNFarmBureau Met with the Minnesota Cattlemen’s Association to share my continued efforts to delist the gray wolf."
Later that afternoon, Stauber also noted a conversation with soybean producers: "@MNFarmBureau Caught up with the @MNSoyGrowers, who help keep Minnesota at the forefront of U.S. soybean production."
Stauber has represented Minnesota’s 8th District in Congress since replacing Rick Nolan in 2019 and previously served on the St. Louis County Commission from 2013 to 2019. Born in Duluth in 1966 and currently residing in Hermantown, Stauber graduated from Lake Superior State University in 1990.
