Pete Stauber, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 8th district since 2019, recently shared updates on his official Twitter account regarding local infrastructure projects, national trade developments, and recognition for veterans' services.

On July 28, 2025, Stauber posted about a meeting with North Branch city officials to discuss the I-35 Interchange Project. He wrote, "I had a great meeting with North Branch city officials to discuss the I-35 Interchange Project. During our meeting, city officials explained that this project is critical to help improve traffic, enhance pedestrian safety, and reduce emergency response times. I’m committed to" (July 28, 2025).

Later that day, Stauber commented on an international trade agreement involving the United States and the European Union. He stated, "President Trump just secured a historic trade deal with the European Union, in which the EU will purchase $750 BILLION in American energy, implement 0% tariffs on many American exports, and invest $600 BILLION in the U.S. economy! This is what you call 'the Art of the Deal!'" (July 28, 2025).

On July 29, 2025, Stauber highlighted recognition from a state veterans' organization: "I'm honored to earn the top rating in MN for veterans' services from the DAV of Minnesota. Proud to support our veterans with action, not just words, ensuring they receive the care and benefits they deserve." (July 29, 2025).

Stauber has represented Minnesota’s 8th District in Congress since replacing Rick Nolan in 2019. Before his congressional service, he was a member of the St. Louis County Commission from 2013 to 2019. Born in Duluth in 1966 and currently residing in Hermantown at age 56, Stauber graduated from Lake Superior State University with a BA in 1990.
