Pete Stauber, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Minnesota's 8th district, has been actively engaging with key industries in his state. On July 8, 2025, Stauber shared his visit to NewRange Copper Nickel, noting the importance of Minnesota’s mineral wealth. He stated that "Minnesota’s abundance of mineral wealth is key to U.S. mineral dominance!" This visit underscores his focus on promoting local resources as essential components of national economic strength.

The following day, July 9, 2025, Stauber visited U.S. Steel Minntac along with Region 5 EPA Administrator Anne Vogel. He expressed pride in supporting local workers and steel production by stating "I’m proud to promote our Iron Range workers and steel production!" The visit reflects Stauber's ongoing advocacy for the industrial workforce and infrastructure within his district.
