On June 16, 2025, Stauber tweeted about his discussion with the Deerwood Mayor concerning local infrastructure, childcare shortages, and housing needs. He emphasized his commitment to making the federal government work for small towns like Deerwood.
Later that day, Stauber alerted his followers about tornado warnings issued in Minnesota’s 8th District (MN08), urging residents to stay alert and safe amid potential severe weather conditions.
On June 17, 2025, Stauber expressed strong views on international security issues by stating that Iran is the largest state sponsor of terror and responsible for many American deaths. He supported former President Trump's stance that Iran must never be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon and expressed gratitude towards Israel's efforts in preventing such an occurrence.
Stauber has served in the U.S. Congress since 2019 after replacing Rick Nolan. Prior to this role, he was part of the St. Louis County Commission from 2013 to 2019. Born in Duluth, Minnesota in 1966, he resides in Hermantown and holds a BA from Lake Superior State University.
