Pete Stauber, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Minnesota's 8th District, shared a series of messages on social media reflecting on personal and legislative matters. Stauber, who succeeded Rick Nolan in 2019 and previously served on the St. Louis County Commission from 2013 to 2019, has been vocal about his roles both as a father and a lawmaker.
On June 15, 2025, Stauber extended Father's Day wishes to fathers across Minnesota's 8th District and the nation. He emphasized the significance of parenthood by stating, "Happy Father’s Day to all the incredible dads across Minnesota’s 8th District and this nation! Being a dad to six kids, I can say without a doubt—nothing in life is more meaningful."
In another post dated June 16, 2025, Stauber expressed gratitude towards law enforcement in Minnesota for their successful apprehension of a suspect. He stated his appreciation by saying "Thank God. I’m deeply grateful to Minnesota law enforcement for their dedicated work in bringing this killer into custody."
Later that day, Stauber addressed an audience at the MN School Bus Operators Annual Meeting concerning new legislation he introduced aimed at enhancing children's safety during school commutes. On June 16, he wrote "This morning, I spoke at the MN School Bus Operators Annual Meeting about the Brake for Kids Act—legislation I recently introduced to protect children from the dangers of illegal school bus passings. By working together, we can ensure kids stay safe as they travel to school."
Stauber was born in Duluth, Minnesota in 1966 and currently resides in Hermantown. He holds a BA from Lake Superior State University obtained in 1990.
