Shriners Hospitals for Children issued the following announcement on June 5.
The Shreveport Shriners Hospital is pleased to announce that John Sullens, RN, director of inpatient services, has been named the hospital’s Nurse of the Year for 2020!
Even before joining the team, John was no stranger to the Shreveport Shriners Hospital. As a child, John underwent years of surgeries and castings at our facility for treatment of a bone condition called fibrous dysplasia. He went on to college and served as a pastor before entering medical device marketing. Years later, upon earning his nursing degree, John set his sights on returning to the hospital that helped to shape his future.
