Pete Stauber, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 8th district since 2019, marked October 13, 2025, with a series of social media posts commemorating national milestones and commenting on recent global events.
In a post on October 13, 2025, Stauber recognized the anniversary of the United States Navy: "Happy Birthday, Navy ️ Thank you for 250 years of service to this great nation ".
Later that day, Stauber commented on the release of hostages held by Hamas: "They are home! After more than two years in Hamas captivity, all surviving hostages have been freed. My heart is with them as they begin the long journey of emotional and physical healing alongside their loved ones.

Stauber has served in Congress since succeeding Rick Nolan in 2019. Before his congressional service, he was a member of the St. Louis County Commission from 2013 to 2019. Stauber was born in Duluth, Minnesota in 1966 and currently resides in Hermantown. He earned a BA from Lake Superior State University in 1990.
