Pete Stauber, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 8th district since 2019, has highlighted his recent activities and concerns through a series of posts on his official social media account.
On September 17, 2025, Stauber wrote: "Every year, I have the honor of nominating young people from my district to the prestigious U.S. Service Academies. If you or someone you know might be interested in applying to one of the Academies, please join my next Service Academy Night! https://t.co/6IxMsvr06m"
The following day, he shared his appreciation for service members stationed in Washington, D.C., posting on September 18, 2025: "I had the pleasure of personally thanking members of the National Guard serving in Washington, D.C. and dropping off breakfast as a small token of appreciation for all that they do.

Later that same day, Stauber addressed crime statistics and public safety issues related to public transit systems: "In 2024 alone, MN Metro Transit reported 7,402 crimes.

Stauber's ongoing congressional work builds on his background as a former St. Louis County Commissioner from 2013 to 2019 and his educational experience at Lake Superior State University where he earned a BA in 1990. Born in Duluth in 1966 and residing in Hermantown, Stauber has focused on community engagement and law enforcement issues throughout his career.
