On Saturday, Feb. 22, former East Ridge High School standouts Luke Ryerse and Weber Neels’ current college team, the Minnesota Golden Gophers, lost 4-2 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Virginia Cavaliers.

The game took place at Dell Diamond. This was their first matchup against the Cavaliers this season.

The Golden Gophers’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 23 at 12 p.m. at Dell Diamond against Oregon State Beavers.
