3.3% of Washington County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Washington County recorded an unemployment rate of 3.3% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 4,699 people out of the 264,818 living in Washington County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Washington County has increased compared to the 3.1% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Washington County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 4%.

Of the 139,845 people who had a job during that time, 174 were employed in the Armed Forces and 139,671 belonged to the civilian labor force.
