North St. Paul-Maplewood Oakdale Public School District: MCA and MTAS Math results for 2021-22 school year

North St. Paul-Maplewood Oakdale Public School District ranked second in the Ramsey County for test participation, with 4,378 students taking the Math portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of North St. Paul-Maplewood Oakdale Public School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year rose by 59.3% over the previous year.

North St. Paul-Maplewood Oakdale Public School District's students achieved an average Math proficiency rate of 30% in 2021-22 school year.

Fourth grade students stood out with 13% of them exceeding standards in Math, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, 11th-grade students had the most room for improvement, with 57% not meeting the expected standards.

North St. Paul-Maplewood Oakdale Public School District encompasses schools within Ramsey County and has a main office in Maplewood.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.

Minnesota Department of Education issues could lead to data irregularities.
