Chickens and Ducks Given the Green Light

A38

Residents on smaller single-family residential lots may now have backyard chickens and ducks. The City Council at its April 6 meeting voted on allowing residents to apply for a two-year permit to have chickens or ducks on any residential lot with three or fewer dwelling units. There is a limit of six ducks or chickens per license. Applicants must complete a fowl or poultry education course. Apply and learn more: CottageGroveMN.gov/ChickensAndDucks.
