City of Hinckley recently issued the following announcement.
The City of Hinckley's People Service crew will be flushing hydrants during the month of May. Please see the schedule below to find the dates that could affect your area.
Expect water to be cloudy or discolored in the coming weeks. It is recommended NOT to run HOT water until your COLD water runs clear. If you see crews in your area, we recommend that you DO NOT wash a load of whites until you wash a load of darks FIRST. However, if you do wash your whites and notice they have a yellowish tinge after washing them you can easily remove the stains by rewashing them with 'Iron Out', which can be purchased at R&S Hardware Store or Daggett's Fresh Foods Grocery Store.
Hydrant Flushing Schedule:
Downtown Area & West Side- October 6th- October 8th
East Side, West of 35W- October 13th- October 15th
East of 35W to County Rd. 15- October 20th- October 22nd
East of County Rd. 15- October 27th- October 29th
