Minnesota Rep. Glenn Gruenhagen (R-District 18B) has once again received support from the National Rifle Association (NRA).
In a post on his Facebook page, Gruenhagen said it's the sixth time he's received the NRA's endorsement. He said he has an "A" rating from the association and the repeated endorsement was based on his "solid pro-second amendment voting record." On his campaign website, Gruenhagen said he's a "strong supporter" of people owning guns, the ability to be able to protect yourself and the second amendment.
"I am very grateful for their support as well as the support and endorsement of the MN Gun Owners PAC," Gruenhagen said in the post on his Facebook page.
Greunhagen is the incumbent candidate currently representing District 18B which encompasses parts of McLeod and Sibley counties. He was first elected to the position in 2010, and sworn in the next year. He's running against Democratic candidate Heather Bakke in the upcoming November general election.
