THOMAS EDISON HIGH SCHOOL: Free Weekly Food Boxes For All Children

Thomas Edison High School issued the following announcement on June 19.

Free weekly food boxes for ALL children—18 and under—will continue through at least July 24, so come pick one up for your child today. It’s MONDAY and we are at schools and parks across the city from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Northwest: Farview Park, Lucy Craft Laney Community School, Olson Middle School

Northeast: Thomas Edison High School, Waite Park Community School

Southwest: Whittier Park,

Southeast: Andersen United Community School, Bancroft Elementary School, Hale Elementary, Hiawatha Community School, Longfellow Park

Boxes are filled with fresh produce and items for seven breakfasts and seven lunches that meet our True Food standards for nutrition and quality ingredients. This week’s boxes contain a lot of favorites including tamales. We are at many sites across Minneapolis each week day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.—so there is sure to be a site near you.
