Hutchinson Public Schools issued the following announcement on May 13.

In accordance with Governor Tim Walz Executive Order 20-02, Hutchinson Schools is required to provide free meals to students during the statewide school closure. All children 18 years of age and under are eligible to receive meals even if they are not currently enrolled with Hutchinson Public Schools.
*NEW* Meals will now include 7 days to provide students meals over the weekend.
*NEW* Meal deliveries will take place twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays. An order form will need to be completed for each delivery date so an adequate number of meals can be prepared. A new email and link will be sent on Wednesdays and Fridays.
A school bus or school van will be at each location from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on Mondays and Thursdays to distribute meals. MEALS MUST BE PICKED UP DURING THE ALLOTTED TIME FRAME. BUSES AND VANS WILL LEAVE BY 11:45 AM.
*NEW* When you pick up meals on Mondays you will receive meals for Monday-Wednesday. When you pick up meals on Thursdays you will receive meals for Thursday-Sunday. If you order meals, please make every effort to pick up. Please remember these meals are for students 18 and under.
If the pick up location you selected offers drive thru service, please stay in your vehicle and drive thru to pick up meals. If you are walking or bicycling, please use caution when picking up. Always keep a safe distance between yourself and those around you (6 feet).
Multiple days will be packaged together. Please refrigerate perishable items if not eaten immediately. Most entrees will be frozen. Please check our website by clicking here to find cooking instructions for these items. To see what items go together for the daily meal click here.
