STILLWATER MIDDLE SCHOOL: Seniors invited to share videos for virtual graduation ceremony

Stillwater Middle School issued the following announcement on May 14

Be part of the virtual graduation ceremony and submit your videos! Seniors can participate in two ways:

Cap Toss

After you get your cap and gown on May 26 or 27 put on your robe and record yourself tossing your cap in the air! Upload the video to the 2020 cap toss folder in Google Drive. Videos must be uploaded by Thursday, May 28.

Six Word Memoir

Cutaway Productions and SAHS are creating a farewell video to honor this year’s graduates. We’re inviting all seniors to submit a “Six Word Memoir” video clip expressing their life in just six words. Check out this video or this example of what this looks like.

Video Criteria:

  • Shoot a video of the student reciting their 6 word memoir (can only be 6 words)
  • Student may be holding a visual that represents those 6 words or that says the 6 words. 
  • Export video as an mp4 or .mov
  • Name the video file the students first and last name "samsmith.mp4"
  • Upload video to the Google Drive Folder labeled "Senior Video, 6 word memoir"
Video tips:

  • DO NOT record in 4K
  • DO NOT record vertically
  • Speak loudly and clearly
  • Hold camera/phone steady when recording
  • Video and content must be appropriate
Photo Collage Criteria:

  • Use high resolution pictures
  • Include 6 word memoir
  • Include student's first and last name
  • Name the file student's first and last name "samsmith.jpg"
  • Export collage as a jpg, gif or pdf file
  • Upload to Google Drive Folder, Senior Video, 6 Word Memoir
Six Word Memoir videos/collages/photos must be uploaded no later than Monday, May 18.
