Bellaire home prices rise in the third quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2018 in Bellaire rose by $45,000 while total sales increased by 66.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2018, there were five homes sold, with a median sale price of $275,000 - a 19.6% increase over the $230,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were three homes sold in Bellaire in the third quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Bellaire for 2018 was $3,123. In 2017, the median sales tax was $2,746. This marks an increase of 13.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.1%.
