Bellaire home prices fall in the first half of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2019 in Bellaire fell by $144,250 while total sales increased by 50%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2019, there were three homes sold, with a median sale price of $305,000 - a 32.1% decrease over the $449,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were two homes sold in Bellaire in the first half of 2018.

The median sales tax in Bellaire for 2019 was $3,335. In 2018, the median sales tax was $3,123. This marks an increase of 6.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.1%.
