North St. Paul home prices rise in the second half of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2019 in North St. Paul rose by $8,480 while total sales decreased by 18.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2019, there were 82 homes sold, with a median sale price of $230,000 - a 3.8% increase over the $221,520 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 101 homes sold in North St. Paul in the second half of 2018.

The median sales tax in North St. Paul for 2019 was $2,756. In 2018, the median sales tax was $2,578. This marks an increase of 6.9%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.2%.
