On Jan. 29, Sen. Karin Housley (R-St. Marys Point), along with Sen. David Senjem (R-Rochester) and members of the Minnesota Senate Capital Investment Committee wrapped up a three-day bus trip dubbed the “#MNinfrastructure Bonding Tour” with a trip to the Twin Cities area.

The first stop was a brief presentation at Oak Park Heights City Hall, followed by a stop at the Norrell Avenue/State Frontage Rd. realignment project site in Oak Park Heights. Next, the group attended a presentation in Grant, at the State Highway 36/CSAH (Manning Avenue) interchange project site.

The group took three days late last month to tour sites where various projects were underway, including flood hazard mitigation, education facility buildings, bridge improvements and a variety of other projects.

Housley represents the communities of Forest Lake, Stillwater and St. Croix Valley area communities in the senate. In addition, she is currently the chair of the Senate Family Care and Aging Committee. She is also the assistant majority leader.
