North High School issued the following announcement on Jan. 21.
This free collaborative concert experience will bring the spirit of the North Minneapolis community to the stage and celebrate that spirit through music. Led by acclaimed composer, arranger and pianist Sanford Moore, the Northside Celebration will feature The Northside Celebration Choir — specially formed for this event — the Courtland Pickens Community Youth Choir and Greta Oglesby, soloist, along with the SPCO. An unforgettable testimony to the power of connecting people through music. This program is co-presented by The Capri Theater and the SPCO — celebrating 10 years of community partnership this season!
