Thomas Edison High School issued the following announcement on Nov. 21.
We are HUGELY proud of yet another Tommie, Mirly Montejo Diego, who has been selected as a CDF Beat the Odds Honoree! Among other things, she will be celebrated at the Children's Defense Fund ceremony in the spring and receive a $5,000 scholarship to a post-secondary educational institution.
