North High School issued the following announcement on Oct. 29.
During this quarter, our student athletes have been joining our students facing physical disabilities during their adaptive PE class. The compassion, kindness and camaraderie has been a beautiful thing for their teachers to witness. Their time together culminated in their SECOND place win during our first ever Unified Track & Field Day appearance. Roosevelt took first place with the Polars .03 seconds behind them. But what a win for all involved! We are so deeply proud of our Polar Bear Cubs. Please send them your congratulations today and your love and encouragement for tomorrow
